Any channel you open these days, it talks of how Aamir Khan has the right of expression and how he has the support of none less the prime minister and countable number of his colleagues and how so many from his fraternity have not stood by him.
Now I am all for anyone’s freedom of expression including Mr. Khan, whether or not I agree with the expressed views. But this time I have some questions Mr Khan:
•How come all your controversies just coincide with the release of your movies (thank God you do not do many movies)?
•How come you suddenly woke up to Narmada Aandolan. It had been around for ages, just like you been around for ages, just like you had been a star for ages and just like you had been a citizen of India for ages. Why did it strike you right at the time when your film is being released, to stand up for the issue and be a good citizen.
•Last time when your ‘Rang de Basanti’ got released, you got married in a ‘media is chasing me’ style and ensured you were all over the papers and there is a mystery around your marriage. Was that just a coincidence or well masterminded timely gesture?
•Just like most masses, I have a short memory, but just curious if your earlier controversies, like your alleged relationships were also timed with the releases of your movies or is it that you are very busy and get to get into controversies only after you’ve finished a movie? Just wondering…
Another question: Is the media so stupid, lazy or so star starved that can not see this pattern, or are they partnering in the process?
U r right. Even if we accept Aamir was so moved by Rang De Basanti, i would still like to ask him,' y only this issue?'

At the same time, If Media, political parties and our drawing rooms adorned by TV sets had not given too much of importance to Aamir, he would have been spending his time shooting for a coca-cola ad than taking up Narmada issue.
i dont get to see much of tv but i m sure he must still be holding the coke bottle close to his heart.
