- Umerkot, 80 Ft Road, Koramangala – Good food, decent ambience and excellent service. A good place for North Indian food, do try their Mirchi Kadhi.
- 3 Storey, Levelle Road, A coastal cuisine, primarily Kerala food. Excellent Appams and Mapas. Plain simple place with simple food, which can be eaten day after day.
- Café Terra – 80 Ft Road, Koramangala – A basic food joint, run by north eastern people, good food, quite ambience with an added attraction of a magazine library. You can spend a good afternoon chatting with your friends here without someone expecting you to buy something or leave the place like Udipi restaurants.
- Red Chilli Pepper, Marthahalli, ORR– This is the only place in Bangalore where you get the typical Bihari food, Litti Chokha. You can top that up with masala cold drinks that go very well with dishes. Ambience is ok, location will be far off for most people, but I guess the niche specialty offerings bring the customers to them.
- Tivoli Garden, Capitol, Raj Bhavan Road – The biggest USP is the location, centrally located for anyone to reach. Food is ok, usual food that you get at hotel restaurants. The view of Bangalore from the roof top is good; you would feel surrounded by everything that almost defines Bangalore.
- Chinai’s, Bellandur, ORR – An over decorated Andhra restaurant, with not so great food. Service is very poor. A complete waste of large prime space that they have.
- Bay Leaf, Raheja Arcade, Koramangala - Good food, seating is little cramped, but I guess you can not expect more in a prime location like this.
- 6 Ballygunj Place, Indiranagar – Excellent food, simple but nice ambience. Though I tried only vegetarian food, and being a Bengali place it is not what they are best at, still the food was amazing. Service is a bit slow, but the laid back place compensates for that.
- Yoko Sizzlers, Church Street – Avoid. Bad food, bad service. The worst sizzler I ever had was here, and not to forget my upset stomach for next few days.
- Sahib Sindh Sultan, Forum Mall, Koramangala – Decent food, good ambience, good mild music and a near perfect location. These are the kind pf places where you can sit and spend some time.
