What’s your Ecological Footprint?

While on the topic of environment, came across this site http://www.ecofoot.org/ , it helps you calculate your ecological footprint. It has a small quiz that asks you questions about your lifestyle like your food, your living space, your mobility, goods you use and services you take. It ranks you against your country average and the global average and tells you that how much space would be needed beyond the earth available to us, if everyone on this earth had your kind of lifestyle.

After the survey it leads you to various links on how you can contribute to making this earth a better place to live, and how you can contribute as an individual, as community, as business or as a country.

I tried doing it with multiple countries as my place of residence and you can see the resources available to the person living in western world are so much more than us in Asia. My eco footprint is 1.6, meaning that if everyone lived like me, we would need 1.6 earths to support life. Not bad, but could be better.
